Hi, I'm Amanda, an Accredited Practising Dietitian, Nutritionist and qualified Personal Trainer.
I am passionate about inspiring and empowering people to maintain healthier eating, physical activity and lifestyle behaviours in order to improve their health and wellbeing. What I love most about working in the nutrition and fitness industry is being able to help improve the quality of life of my clients, whether it is to help you relieve your symptoms, manage your particular health condition, achieve more energy, enhance your self-confidence, sleep better, or improve your mobility, strength and cardiovascular fitness.
I respect that everyone has different beliefs, values, cultural influences and social factors that influence eating and activity habits, and I love helping my clients identify their personal health goals and realistic ways to achieve them.
While I can provide nutrition education and support for a range of diet-related conditions, I am particularly interested in helping people achieve and maintain a healthy body weight. Using a non-dieting approach to eating, and focusing on positive long-term behaviour changes, together we come up with a plan that fits your personal needs, preferences and lifestyle. I can provide ongoing support to develop your knowledge and skills that enable managing different factors affecting you’re eating and weight loss goals, including habits, emotions and social, work and home environments.
With a love of cooking and experimenting with recipes I spend many hours in my kitchen at home. I am however a big fan of cooking in bulk and saving myself time for a busy week ahead. Feel free to ask me for recipes or food preparation ideas and tips.
As a personal trainer and strong believer in the benefits of physical activity and how good you can feel after exercise, I can also work with you to find ways of incorporating more movement and activity into your lifestyle. If you are looking to improve your mobility, muscle and bone strength, metabolism and general feeling of wellness, helping you could simply involve us having a chat about making small changes, or developing a personalised home-based exercise program for you, or even joining me in the fresh air for a training session!
